From the lake to Route 67

From the 146A corner, take Saratoga Road (NY-50) north along the west side of the lake and into Ballston Spa. At the south end of the village, turn onto Route 67 east and we’re a minute up the road at 974 NY-67. Google has it at 6.7 miles and eleven minutes. Lake Road is a fine back way if 50 is busy, and adds about two minutes.

A Town of Ballston business

Ballston Lake, Burnt Hills and our store all sit in the Town of Ballston. The town board allowed licensed dispensaries and opted out of on-site consumption lounges. So this is a shop, not a lounge. You buy here, you enjoy it at home.

The 12019 ZIP stretches into Clifton Park and Charlton too. Both of those towns opted out of hosting dispensaries, so those 12019 addresses have no shop of their own.

The Zim Smith Trail runs from the Ballston Lake area up toward Ballston Spa. Plenty of people ride it on weekends. Just don’t ride or drive impaired.

I’ve been to Lucky Dog a few times now, and it’s a great spot! I’m pretty loyal to my usual dispensary, but whenever I don’t feel like making that drive, Lucky Dog is my choice 100% of the time. Great prices, great deals, and knowledgeable staff who are quick to offer help. The product displays are phenomenal—it’s nice to actually see what they carry, and they’ve clearly put thought into the setup. They also have a massive touchscreen for ordering that practically deserves its own ZIP code. I personally prefer the smaller tablets, which thankfully they have too! What really stands out is the atmosphere. From the second you walk in until you leave, the whole place has a welcoming, comfortable vibe that some other dispensaries around here could learn from. Easy five stars!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Lucky Dog, we’re glad you’re here. Have waited a long time for a licensed dispensary to open up close to home. The therapeutic benefits of cannabis as a complimentary intervention are undeniable, from managing mental health to fighting the brutal side effects of cancer treatment. What’s even more beneficial is to have a safe space to learn about, openly discuss and be offered affordable access to complimentary therapies. We’ve found that in Lucky Dog dispensary. From the very first visit we found the staff to be kind, patient and knowledgeable. We even got a chance to meet the owner, who may as well have been a fellow customer, just casually walking around and looking at products. Jennifer was able to help me find two products that suited not only the symptoms I suffer from, but my schedule, personal preferences and my complete lack of knowledge on what ingredients and doses would be the best match. She walked around the store with me, just from an educational standpoint, to explain the differences between products and what customers tend to feel the +/- are. I was beyond impressed with her knowledge base and felt genuine trust in her recommendations. I did not feel overwhelmed or herded towards particular items. Jen’s advice was greatly appreciated. Now several weeks later I feel I’ve found a helpful accompaniment to the other tools I use to manage my disorder. I’d like to add that the overall vibe of Lucky Dog dispensary is welcoming and relaxing. The decor feels more like your stepping into a friend’s personal space than a retail store. There are comfortable places to sit and items are displayed so you can look at the packaging up close and read labels. I could not get over the gorgeous plants that you’re surrounded by from the moment you walk in. That alone had therapeutic value. Not to mention their soft spot for rescue dogs and giving back to those in our community that work to keep our beloved canines safe and in loving homes.
